Biography
I am a multinational, multilingual artist from Iberian descent. My parents were migrants and later settled in the Mid-Hudson Valley, New York. My works address the politicisation of human identity within mainstream global culture. Working across portraiture, photography and painting, I use my lived experience of growing up as an immigrant in the suburbs of New York in the early 70s and coming of age in the turbulent 80s, to expose the prejudices and stereotypes which have demonised and marginalised many minorities today.
Training in Fine Art & Art History at the Sorbonne, Paris, I developed my practise over many years and each work conveys a message and emotional expression.
I am an award-winning painter and photographer whose works have been internationally exhibited.
I often show clients my works in my studio in Zurich as sometimes you need to see something in its native form to fully appreciate the emotional bond between a work and the viewer.
