Description:
The painting is oranges and the contrast of their color against any other hue or texture. It is a study about colour, light, space, and appearance, transparency, opacity, thickness and roughness. The artist introduces briefly the bulkiness and hoarseness of a concrete wall that becomes the stage for the whole scene. He plays with the material's craggy and coarse surface and opposes it to the fine fragility of three crystal glasses that stand on a niche. In the foreground, there are an orange and an orange peel. They seem to stand on the sill of the frame of the whole composition and are completely detached from the rest of the setting, which allows the artist to play with colours and their contrast, bringing forth the warmth and volume of the orange and the space outlined by the orange peel.
